Ch-Ch-Changes

Well, sorry to those who wanted to see pictures of the big girl's room...I made some drastic changes yesterday after (yet again) she didn't nap. Sparse would be a good word. Empty. A big purple, pink, and white void...except for a bed.

I decided there were too many distractions with all the furniture and stuff she decided were potential toys. The only things remaining are what she had in her crib, a blanket and her favorite stuffed animals. Oh, and today we're trying a baby gate at her door. The confined space of her crib has just been enlarged to her room.

Eventually we'll moved the other things back in...hopefully before December (tongue-in-cheek).

Please Lord, let this work. Please soften her heart and help her to obey. Thank you for your grace and for giving me the strength to do what you've called me to today--to seek to train my daughter in self-control and obedience. I am in desperate need of You...and I know You are the Faithful One.

Good move! It worked for Sophie. And at least you know she won't hurt herself.

We are in a "nap battle" too. I'm sure I'll have it all figured out just in time to screw it up for camping. I have no idea how that will go.

She slept today!!!!!!

I'm estatic, can't you tell?

Granted, she still cried and protested a solid half hour at the gate with Mommy (out of sight but closeby to verbally reinforce) till she climbed back in bed and fell asleep.

But that's the most she's slept in weeks!

AFter the last post, I wondered what her space looked like. We had no toys in the boys room either and still don't..just books and, for a season, I allowed them to take one toy to naptime with them.

By the way, these are the prayers I believe God loves for us to pray all the time. We are always in desperate need of Him; it's really His kindness when He makes us aware of that reality even though if can feel so uncomfortable. Praying for you today, too.

Yippee for sleeping! I'm so glad she slept for you today... amen to the prayer for the days to come as well. Lord, give Krista your strength and patience. Give us all your grace and wisdom to raise our children for your glory!
