...off to KINDERGARTEN!
Yesterday I went with her to an hour orientation. While Natalia is my "Little Miss Independent" she has her moments of shyness and insecurity, so I was pleased to observe her excitement growing for the REAL DEAL today, producing an eager smiling face first thing this morning.
Here is a quick shot I snapped during orientation yesterday.
And here we are...standing at the bus stop.
Without a backward glance (sniffle sniffle) off she goes!
Adam was so disappointed he didn't get to go with her. But a John Deere video was enough to lure him inside.
As we walked back to the house I couldn't help but think "that all happened so fast!" I imagine there will be many more moments that that thought comes to mind. So far no tears, just a full heart this morning. :-)
I'm so excited to pick her up a lunchtime and here what she has to say!

How exciting! Good for you- no tears! I didn't have tears for the first one of to K either, but yesterday when he boarded the bus for middle school.... the tears flowed. Enjoy K- it is such a fun year of learning new things and gaining independence. Not to mention one-on-one time with the youngest!

Is she a lefty? ;)
I'm wondering what Bella is going to end up. At 4.5, she is still flip flopping left to right.
I was very teary and sad sending my boys to K-garten. It was harder for me than I thought it would be. And, like Natalia, my boys LOVED it. These are the good growing pains, though. :)
Aww, good for you and good for her? I remember thinking the same thing when my oldest turned five, and honestly that's why I chose to homeschool. It wasn't a "calling" or a sacrifice. It was rather selfish--"I am so not ready to let my baby go off to kindergarten." Of course, many a day that big yellow school bus was mighty tempting for both of us! Let us know what she had to say about her first day.
