The question I meant to post yesterday was...
What are 5 smells that send you reeling?
(My keen sense of smell leaves me with plenty of ideas. Anyone out there identify with me?)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. the fish market (just the thought of it turns me green)
2. dog (especially a wet dog, even if he just received a bath--that's even worse)
3. chicken poo (and any other kind of "fowl" poo--no pun intended. Believe me, cow and pig manure are much better than these!)
4. urine
5. the smell of earthworms after a warm weather rain
***I also really mind the smell of cigarette, cigar and pipe smoke, though it doesn't make me ill--just gives me an instant headache.
ditto, except on number one. That one would be the smell of raw meat especially chicken. It all stems back to having to butchering chickens at Grandpa Stauffer's. Were you ever so fortunate to participate in that event? I would go into detail but then I would hurl.
EWWWW...no, thankfully I was absent from those gatherings.
I've gotten better about working with raw meat. But my nose still gets the better of me sometimes. Especially when I order a case of fresh chicken and have to prepare them for our freezer. The birds are clean and dressed, but they're still raw and it's not a quick job...
1. a certain pork recipe ~ the smell made me ill when I was pregnant and I still cannot make the recipe
2. vomit ~ when it is someone besides my own child
3. garbage that needs to be taken out
4. dog poo (on shoes especially)
5. mildewed carpet
