This post is merely to ask for your feedback. I need some book recommendations. Though I enjoy rereading my favorites, I'm alittle bored of that and so...
Any suggestions?
Some of my favorite types are:
1. Historical Christian fiction (think Bodie Thoene or Francine Rivers--I like Karen Kingsbury but she gets really predictable)
2. Classic Literature (nothing too "heady" for now: like To Kill A Mockingbird, or Little Women)
3. Mystery/Suspense (I like most of John Grisham's work, just nothing too dark or gory)
4. Light-hearted "Beach" reads--some fluff allowed ;-)
What are some of your favorites?

Christian Fiction:
Jan Karon's Father Tim series is charming. About a priest in a small southern town with some mystery and romance thrown in.
Classic Literature:
"Anna Karinena" might be too heady, but I don't know. Honestly, this is one of the best books I've read in my life. No wonder it's a classic. I put off reading it because I knew the basic story and didn't think I'd be too interested, but I was so wrong. If you're interested, let me know and I'll tell you which translation to buy (it does matter, I think).
Mystery/Suspense:
Have to read "Rebecca"? Really anything by Daphne du Maurier is fantastic. Also "Frenchman's Creek" "My Cousin Rachael" and "Jamacia Inn" are fabulous. These are great suspense novels.
Also, Dorothy Sayers' Lord Peter Whimsy mysteries are wonderfully classic British murder/detective novels. Start with "Strong Poison."
I haven't read any good fiction either, these days. I've been reading lots of non-fiction, as you can see from my booklist on my blog. I'm feeling the need for some fiction, though, too.
Historical Christian - The Love Comes Softly series by Janette Oke are a must read and also try any of Lori Wick's books.
Classic literature - Daisy Miller by Henery James and of course any of Jane Austen. The Old man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway and Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury.
Mystery/Suspense - Have you tried Ted Dekker his Circle trilogy was interesting and also Skin was pretty good. The China Bayles Mystery series by Susan Witting Albert are fun easy to read books about a woman who used to be a lawyer and now owns a herb store in a small town and occasionaly solve crime.
Light-hearted - Snow Flower and the Secret Fan by Lisa See is an excelent book about the friendship between two girls from very diffrent backgrounds. Magic Hour by Kristin Hannah absolutely wonderful,I cried. Alphabet Weekends by Elizabeth Noble this is a fun book Tom and Natalie are best friends but Tom wants more than just friendship so he propose a plan to spend 26 weekends together doing activites starting from A-Z.
I love to recommend books as I am sure you can tell. I hope these are helpful and not books you have already read.
Well, I would recommend any of the books on my shelfari list! :) Of course, you may have already read them, I don't know...
If you want just lite beach reads or chic lit, Jennifer Weiner is a good author, or just look here (http://www.amazon.com/tag/chick%20lit/lists-guides/ref=tag_tdp_rb_ilag_all) for "chic lit" booklists! If you find any that sound interesting, ask me about them - I probably read them! (thanks to my best friend and her sister!)
Jodi Piccoult is another good author, but her books can be a bit too heavy (I see that they are making a movie of My Sister's Keeper), same with Alice Sebold (Lovely Bones). Memory Keeper's Daughter is another good book. Of course, I don't know if reading any of these is good while pregnant! (I'm not a mom, so I can detach myself...)
If you want to branch out into another genre (I advise it - I liked the exact same genres as you!), try the sci-fi series "The Voyages of the Jerle Shannara" (3 books) by Terry Brooks.
Have fun! :)

P.S. Maybe posting comments can count... :)
I seldom have time to read for pleasure (except blogs!) However, two times this year when I was flying I ended up buying a Nicholas Sparks paperback at the airport. I enjoyed both of them - At First Sight and A WAlk to Remember.
WOW! Thanks for all of your suggestions! Now, I just need to check out what I can get through the library!
Okay, you won't believe this, but I've actually been reading a lot since I've moved. More free time, I suppose. I don't know if any of these books meet your genres, but I highly recommend:
-the Harry Potter books. You'll tear through them! And don't worry about Christians' hesitations about reading them... there are a lot of great Christian themes in those books!
-The Poisonwood Bible. This book took me forever to read, but it was really interesting. You'd probably like it more than I did, in fact, because it's more poetic than what I'm used to. It's about a family that moves to Africa as missionaries, and what the pig-headedness of their father brings about, etc. It was good.
-The Nanny Diaries. A quick read, and an interesting perspective into the lives of wealthy New Yorkers (the kind that invades my hometown every summer).
-I've read a couple more Grishams, but I can't remember their names.
